Forums - Sony - Your Suggestions and hopes for a *BETTER* PSP

1. Dual Joysticks

2. Louder, its impossible to hear (even with headphones) on an airplane

3. Anti-Piracy shit. I don't know how, just solve the piracy problem.

4. More PS3 games going to PSP. Examples - LBP portable, GT5 portable, Resistance portable

5. Some kind of tilt function like the iTouch/iPhone has. That would be cool. I guess its sorta like Sixaxis like was said in the original post

Edit: 6. Extended Batterly Life. The current battery is a joke

Nah... DSi I think is a cop out to not make a DS2 at all and just ride the DS for another 3-5 years... Sony should just make a PSP2 in fall 2009-2010 to compete with DSi. I'm not sure what direction Sony should take PSP2; they have several choices (including riding out PSP and then not making another handheld)

1. I agree

2. speakers on PSP-3000 should be better... newer parts = better parts typically.

3. impossible as long as it uses external memory. Even the DSi will be subject to it now.

4. All three of your exampes are in production but I want more innovative games like Patapon and Locoroco.

5. maybe... just not totally needed.

Sony just needs to hurry up with the PSPhone. I think the PSP as it is right now is dead in the water. Sure sales are fine but the most important thing is lacking. PSP is the worst supported 40M selling console in history. This is not because people don't play games on PSP. The biggest issue the sytem faces is piracy. I am the only one I know out 17 PSP owners that actually buys games. All of my friends, family, and assosiates are dick head pirates.

The problem Sony faces is that they can not fix this issue on the current PSP. They still have to be supportive of the people that are not being asses and that don't have internet, memory, or money. This is why I think it is crucial that Sony gets the next PSP out within the next 2 years. Basically they need to copy the Ipods current situation. They need to have the all in one version, and they need to have the version that primarly does games. Here is my list of PSP future needs:

New PSP Skus
-PSPhone 32GB
-PSPhone 16GB
-PSP 2 64GB
-PSP 2 32GB
-PSP 2 16GB
(the PSPhone and the PSP 2 are the same product, just one has a phone and more built in)

Phone and PSP 2 Features
-3G phone capabilities*
-Wifi
-QWERTY pad
-6 megapixel camera*
-16 or 32GB of SSD internal storage* (64GB with PSP 2 also availible)
-Memory Stick mirco slot for expanded memory
-4.3" Touch screen @ 960 x 544 (double PSP resolution, but same size)
-Built in speaker
-Blue Tooth*
-USB mini (for charging, and transfering data)
-Sixaxis motion sensing
-Vibration

Controls
-Same as PSP
-Plus second nub
-L2 and R2 triggers

Proccessing
-Cell micro (1 PPE 512Mb L2 cache, 4 SPE's w/256KB SRAM)
-Nvidia GPU with simular achitecture to PS3
-128MB system RAM, 128MB GPU RAM

Apps
-same as PSP (assuming PSP gets, PS Store w/ music, updated web browser, and PSN support)
-plus photo editing
-plus album creater (for video, music, and photos)
-plus calander
-plus word proccessor

Games
-All games through the PS Store
-Stations at all retail locations for people to download games to system if bought in store

This is what I want if Sony really does a new PSP within a year and a half to two years. There are other features I would love to see, but I have a dinner to attend.

 all for under $2,000

I actually don't want another analog nub. Plenty of highly rated games were made without use of them on the PS1, PS2 and the PSP itself. It also keeps the system away from a swarm of FPS.

I want better multimedia features.
1. The ability to organize playlists on the PSP itself (20-50 songs)
2. .avi and .mpeg and .divx support
3. better browser.
4. higher capacity battery

Those things alone would make the PSP perfect to me. Hell give just the first two and i'd be happy as poo poo, 3 and I might poo poo on myself from excitement, and all 4 I just might go retarded with joy. Instead they give me things like google. Like it's not already my homepage.

We had one of these a few months ago, but I will list them again.

-Get rid of the analog nub, give us an analog stick, and two of them
-Get rid of umd, maybe have two models at first, one with for bc, one without
-Getting rid of umd and going to a cartridge would increase battery life, but more is better
-Clam shell, nuff said
-On board storage for DD through psn. This combined with a slot for more storage would be great for not having to pack all your games around with you
-A screen that doesn't fade out in sunlight

Save for easy piracy, it's good as it is.

And the 3000's screen doesn't fade out in sunlight, or so I heard.

lol @ people asking for longer battery life AND vibration.

xen, it does fade out, just not as much as before.

Fix the security holes and show developers that you can in fact make money on PSP games. OH, and more digital downloads via the PSN, NAOW!

Bethesda's Todd Howard "if install base really mattered, we'd all make board games, because there are a lot of tables."
