I will probably get another DS lite as they are phasing them out... DSi is useless since it has less battery. I only play on brightest settings; my PSP has about 4.5 hours on Highest, and its annoying. DS with worse? NO WAY!

No, but I will probably pick up a cheaper DS Lite. To be honest, my main motive is to replace my broken Gameboy Advance, so as you can see the DSi would probably lose no matter what.

I have to see what the price will be, how much internal storage it has, and a years worth of games before I get one. If the price or internal storage is reasonable by 2010 and there are several cool games that are DSi only by then maybe.

I just bought the DS this year and I have 10 GBA games for it. I haven't even finished all of them. Hell, I may not get around to buying a DSi until 2011 and a new model might be announced by then or who knows what the new PSP and iPod will be like then.

Don't you get sore eyes playing on the brightest setting all the time? I find it difficult playing the DS in total darkness, because, even on the lowest brightness it hurts my eyes. I generally always play on the lowest setting, except when outdoors.

Probably not. I don't ever buy the handhelds. Well, I did own a DS for a month. But, that was just to play on a month long business trip to play NSMB.
