I wonder what the nigiris are from. I like the octopus screenshot

I'm very much looking forward to seeing this game in motion now. The artistry in these shots is wonderful but if the backgrounds are too static or the game doesn't seem to flow together then it will be a disappointing experience overall.

If the game looks as great in motion as it does in these stills (and plays well), it could very well be a must-have title for any Wii owner's growing library.

Absolutely beautiful artwork. Really stunning.

Just kiss the tip.

I've seen that.  CGI and a few seconds of platforming aren't good enough for me especially considering the trees don't stand out from the background enough in that one scene.  I'd also like to see the combat.  I wonder if they'll go with one-button attacks or waggle.

Looks nice! Im went to back to Odin Sphere last night. Good stuff!

It's going to be Wii Art Direction vs. PS3/360 Tech more and more as things go on. Wii devs will have to craft art styles like this to be competitive which suits me just fine. Not saying PS3 and 360 games won't have good art though.

I was just responding to your fears of the BG being too static, which couldn't be further from what they are.

Plus you have to remember that the video is a really old build. I'm sure it'll look even more amazing now that the game is really starting to come together.
