^It seems so, apparently it has shipped 10.06 million but I doubt many have gone unsold so VGC looks about 500k short.

Anyhow, saying "at least" 10 million is still an overstatement for GT5.

But i agree 10mil seems pretty high based on todays numbers, but GT5 seems like a 2010 release, but it might be able to come out in very late 2009 Japan.  One thing thats pretty interesting is GT4 sold over 3.1mil copies for launch to retail stores in Europe.

Definitely the most random post in this thread... Tekken has absolutely no chance of getting close to the games on this list. Here's the sales trajectory of the Tekken games:

Tekken (PS) 3.18m
Tekken 2 (PS) 5.45m
Tekken 3 (PS) 6.91m
Tekken Tag Tournament (PS2) 3.94m
Tekken 4 (PS2) 3.31m
Tekken 5 (PS2) 4.30m (as of December 07)

This franchise is a shadow of its former glory. Might as well argue that Street Fighter will be a 5m seller, since Street Fighter II was all the rage in 1992... Anyway, will Tekken 6 sell a million copies? Yes. Will it be one of the top 10 sellers of the generation? Umm - no.

Hard to say what games like Wii Music and Animal Crossing will do. Probably better to just "wait and see" on them.

Incidentally, not one person has mentioned Guitar Hero IV (or whatever it's called), which will 100% assuredly be on the multi-platform top ten within six months.

I am saying that the PS3 has nothing to be ashamed of with not having a 5 million seller at this point; that the 360 did it is a credit to those games, not a strike against the PS3. A 33% attach rate is something very few games can acheive.

Isn't it sad that well known IPs like Ratchet and Clank could barely hit one million in sales while Gears hit 5million with similar install bases?

PS3 hasn't got a calibre exclusive that goes over 5 million

MGS4 if it will ever get there will take time like all previous MGS's did

GT5 & FF13 are the only ones that will cross that....dunno about FF13 now cus of multiplat

Well 30% of this site think LBP will be the best seller for this Xmas. So I take it you think they will be disappointed again(MGS4 was number one too for a previous poll)?

LBP is a mystery sales wise to me

it will either do AVERAGE....or Extremely Good

no in-betweens I feel...

but I am talking about sure-shots....n thats GT 5
