Either way sony is selling at a much higher price and keeping up and (all year before the price drop) selling more then M$ So sony is not worried. Still for 2008 Sony will be selling more units then M$ and that is something sony is happy about.

Squilliam secretly is one too, but at least he makes topics that have some substance and he tries to back up what he says. You're just trying to pick a fight with some ps fanboys... Not the thread to do it in...

OT: I wouldn't have thought it would be possible (and damn you for taking away the first week of sales, since you consider that to be a MGS4 week :p), but all in all, MS has done well to keep up in the second part of the year so far. Even if they do lose it overall, it won't be by a margin that matters anyway.

Judging from previews/ beta code demand I really don't think I am. Wording of previews thus far say nothing other than GOTY. As far as potential console moving power, I think LBP is the biggest game this year with nothing even remotely like it existing on any console.

LBP will attract many new customers, and the only thing I can see overwhelming its huge appeal is the $399 price point without the game. If they can drop the PS3 price and advertise enough with LBP (McDonalds would love to give away Sackboy dolls I would think) then this game will move lots of consoles.

Even at $399, I think people can justify it with Dark Knight/ Iron Man on Blu-Ray for their HDTV.

 

Based on the gameplay videos I can already tell you what the reviews will be like: Great design and amazing level editor, but lackluster core gameplay.

No matter how magnificent the level editor is, people won't like it if the levels themselves aren't any fun to play.
