Mario Kart Wii + Mario galaxy + Zelda all sell used for relatively good prices now.
Plus, I'm sure Wii has a few other exclusives you would like:
Zack and Wiki
RE4 (appears you didn't own gc)
Metroid Prime series

.
Not to mention 'segajon' you can dl a ton of Sega classics and Nintendo classics from the best days ever NES/SNES/GEN era.
Sell one of the HD consoles and get a Wii. 95% of the good stuff that comes out for either of the HD consoles is multiplatform anyway, so owning both is kind of redundant. By contrast, ~75% of the good Wii games out there are Wii-exclusive.
Wii + HD console of your choice is the way to go this gen.
Also, every time you play your Wii, an angel gets its wings.

Since you said that you miss mario and link from the N64 days I presume that you didn't have a gamecube.
As the wii is backwards compatible you'll be getting 2 consoles in 1. you can also get zelda: wind waker and mario sunshine which were classics on the GC Plus you can get zelda TP and mario galaxy on wii.
and plus the wii has a downloadable libary of nes, snes, n64, sega ect games. So as you like mario and zelda, you also could get the really older ones too.
Plus if you get a wii, you will feel complete by having pswii360 :)

and I Don't have: Magnovox Odyssey, Any Atari's, Any Macintosh computers, Sega Gamegear, Virtual Boy, Sega Saturn, N-gage, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PSP, PSVita & Andoid Phone. Plus any non-mainstream consoles/platforms I haven't mentioned.

I recommend that you wait until AFTER Nov. 4th to pick up a Wii!

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!
