I just picked this up at Gamestop the other day and I'm a bit confused. From what I've heard from my friend Alex, it's only MGS on the GCN with MGS2 gameplay or something. But the back of the box says it's both MGS and MGS2. But Wikipedia says it's a remake of MGS.

It's a remake of MGS with some minor gameplay elements of MGS2. I liked it better than the original BTW

Snake had some new moves that were on MGS2 but not MGS, that's all I think.

They most likely mean that they took the graphics, gameplay, and most everything else from MGS2 and put it into MGS and remade it into a new MGS.
