Whoa all that vodka kicked in just now due to some strange time warp.

Anybody find any interesting polls or analysis about the debate yet?

It was fun. I attribute the brevity and hijinks to a love of the political process, Vodka and Rye.

I watched and I thought both sides did pretty well, I feel Obama proved that he was ready to lead the country. Here is one poll, and on CNN they had a phone poll that had obama winning 51 to 38.

I think he focused on the past because he wanted to showcase that he has made the correct judgements on major foreign policy issues. I believe Obama was stressing the popular saying, "past behavior is the best portend of future conduct," to highlight that his judgement is better than McCain's.

I disagree.  It's his OWN advisor that he's wrong about, and he started the fight!  (And fought so hard only to be 100% wrong.)

As for going after bin Laden in Pakistan whether Pakistan is on board or not, I think it depends partially on how frustrated people are with the number of times we "almost" got him.  I think it's clear that it's just an option he's keeping in his deck, not something he's going to rush out and do. 

The way I look at it is the only way you will think that Obama won the FP part of the debate is that you hate the Iraq war, think the surge was stupid, and for some reason really think Afghan is worse the Iraq? Who the hell do you think were are fighting in Iraq? TERRORIST!!!

The normal people there do see us as liberators and please do not argue that. I have friends and family who have been to Iraq numerous times and the people love us, and their freedom. If you do not believe that you ARE WRONG and blinded by bias. No if and or buts.

And yes absolutes are a sign of the darkside.... (ok that was lame)

We did not invade Iraq to fight terrorists. We did invade Afghanistan to fight terrorists. We are failing our mission in Afghanistan and we have no mission in Iraq. I think that means Afghanistan is more important.

Bigjon, the terrorists in iraq before the war were different than the ones that are the taliban (edit: Basically funding hezbollah and the palistinian movement, not osama). After the war, Al-Queda moved in. And, Afganistan is more important that Iraq. I will agree the normal people do view us as liberators, Sadaam was a nasty SOB. But, we had bigger problems, especially since there were no WMD (which many people thought there were, we were misled).

And, look at the polls bigjon, people thought Obama won the debate. I thought he won by a small margin, but McCain really needed to win this one bad.
