I got a couple of pints of NewCastle, some roast pork and mushrooms, and chicken on a stick, and some bourbon chicken (both Steamed rice and pork fried rice on the side), I'm ready for the debate. Less than half an hour to go. Still not sure which network is carrying it.

People were saying he wanted to stall the debate because John McCain was saying he wanted to stall the debate. :)
I think the theory was that he'd attempt to stall it, then say "okay I'll come, but only if we debate about the economy to help educate people about the bailout" so he could get the economy debate out of the way early, and save the national security debate for last, when he'd hopefully thwomp Obama back.

Because I think up until this morning McCain wasn't gonna show up at all.

@vagabond, I'm totally jealous of your feast. I had to go back to the dentist today, and they took a medicated dressing off the hole where my wisdom tooth used to be, and gave me a squirty syringe to squirt water into the hole constantly. I don't have any good snacks on hand. I guess I'll just have some vodka to ease the hunger and clean the hole.

I hope Lehrer goads McCain into admitting that Iran is training Al-Qaeda operatives and sending them into Iraq. The only problem being...McCain does not have Lieberman there to help him out this time. This site is streaming the debate.

He wasn't trying to stall it for political reasons though like people said. I mean if anything the debate would be the best way to stop his backslide.
