This video brings up a question: is there any sort of powerup in this game? I'm not saying it is necessary, but it is a platforming staple that will be missed.

Hmmm, I see what he did there, but it seems that Sackboy can't jump as high as Mario (even though his gravity is like Luigi)! =P

Still pretty cool what you can do with all the customization, but it seems like there are limits to what you can do in the game (no holes for example).

Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

No, you're definitely not.  The problem with a game like this is that it's too easy for the gameplay to suck.  I hope it doesn't suck, because you can have the best-designed levels in the world and have sucky gameplay and the game will completely suck.  Let's hope they put in some fun controls with all the level creation...but that SMB level looked ultra-crappy to play.

I bet the creator had more fun creating the level then the users had playing it.

doesn't the creator portion of this count? Oh wait I forgot that the creation part is the only part of the game and people dont want to do it. (Hinting to the people who always act like there is nothing else in the game than creating it. But now the creating part is out everyone is talking about gameplay... wtf?)



I don't think the level was half bad. The games level editor isn't exactly omnipotent (as everyone can plainly see), but it was fairly faithful to the ye olde first Super Mario level ever.

Seems slow, and he does seem to float a bit.

But I'm guessing that's also becaus he doesn't have all the tools the full version will have, and that this is just his first attempt at a level during the beta.

And from reading the posts, it seems he even says it's a work in progress.

Funny how others immediately find this a reason to dismiss the game :-/



am i the only one that thinks that platforming part of this game is just horrid?
it's too damn slow and jumping is not only awkward it is bad - did developer ever play platformer? what with such small jums and where the hell is double jump(even first super mario bros have one)?
LBP was selling point for me when i was thinking about getting one of hd twins ,because of oportunity that i can make any level i want and then play it, but now - hell no. platforming part is just "meh" and boring at best. LBP have great level editor that's for sure, but gameplay is bad and huge let down for me. i hope this will be changed in full version or maybe there will be option that will let you modify this game in platformer part - if not then goodbye ps3 wellcome x360(eventhough first one RICK RODDed me 3 times).
