| --OkeyDokey-- said: @ Hairy guy How can you say Guitar Hero is nothing like playing a real Guitar and then say that Wii Music is? Right now, I think you're just trying rile people up by saying incredibly stupid things. |
I'm a guitar player, and Guitar Hero is absolutely nothing like playing a real guitar. Or any other real instruments, for that matter. Playing an instrument, first and foremost, takes creativity. Guitar Hero requires absolutely no creativity; it's basically Simon Says with a guitar-shaped controller.
Also, what jlauro said.
"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
-Sean Malstrom
If I was Mayomoto i would keep creating games that pissed of all these retarded hardcore gamers off, it just goes to show how incredibly stupid and self centered they are.
I wouldn't pay no mind to Kyros, he has been dissing practically anything that comes out on the wii and from nintendo ever since i have been on this site, Nintendo are obviously not going his route so he will never have anything good to say about them!
Lets not loose our minds (though for some it is already too late), it happened with WiiFit and when that came out the world kept going. If wii music only is appreciated by kids under 14, then so what? Mayomoto has always been creating content that kids and everyone has enjoyed for years. I started gaming when i was about 7 and discovered the wonderfull world of mario and Zelda and those were soem very precious times to me, just because this "Crazy" guy wanted to entertain people and put a smile on thier face. Like some one said above, if even thousand people pick this game up and really enjoy it, then that is good. Just because it does not interest you does not mean it should not be made.
Why are gamers so disrespectful these days, nothing but assholes making rude threads about pioneers in the industries we love. And they wonder why He creates games for everyone else. I am so sure more now than ever that a lot of elitist gamers would have killed this industry should the Wii or Nintendo's new philosophy not exist.
Every day i am really saddened by the way the majority of gamers think now, it seems the heart of the gamer is becoming so cold, rude and unimaginative. You do not have to like everything that Nintendo bring out but at-least recognize that they are trying to include everyone, that is not a bad thing! you do not have to be
an ass about it.

@Kyros: By Wii Gardening you mean Pikmin 3? Nintendos gardening game.
I think that the unbiased people will really see what the game is about. Fanboys ranting all over the internet about how bad it is, isn't going to change it. Eventually only the sales of the game will tell us did it deliver or not. If it was on par with expectations, it will have good word of mouth and if it didn't deliver, it's just going to flop.

I just want to know where everyone got the idea that this game allows you to be creative...

You shake the controller, and it will play the correct note for you. You can shake it faster to make the song go faster or shake it harder to play louder. That's where it ends.
Even the target market for this game is going to be bored of it within hours, minutes even.

seriously i haven't seen much footage of this game, but that video you showed looked quite cool, this game really doesn't deserve the hate it is getting. To me it actually looks interesting *gasp*

Perhaps, we could save the smack talk after the game is released? This is really going no where.
