I think your confusing Allah with someone who actually existed, does the name God ring a bell?

I have smiled on this day. It makes up for letting a cute girl get away from me on the shuttle back to my apartment (doh..)

You ppl do realize that there are another 49 states where he can apply to the bar for and continue his BS right? Sorry to spoil the party.

Yes, but from what I understand, this is sort of the kiss of death when it comes to a background check. He may not be famous for winning against video games, but I would imagine lawyers are going to be studying his case to find out how NOT to conduct business.

:

No one can say that they didn't see this coming. Thompson's behaviour was reprehensible and, according to the ruling, against the rules of the bar. Therefore the only thing they could do at this point was dibar him permanently.

Of course we're going to see a volcanic repsonse from Thompson. After all this is just going to be one more bit of proof to him of some vast conspiracy directed at Jack Thompson.

It's ironic that a man who wanted his legacy to be that he was the man who destroyed the gaming industry will, in fact, be remembered as man who acted like a jerk to anyone who dared disagree with him. He'll be remembered as an example to other lawyers of what can happen when you forget the first rule of the fanatic, "when you become obsessed with the enemy you become the enemy."

In the end though I take no pleasure in what's happening to Thompson, I pity him. I pity him because he's so full of anger and outrage that he's missing the point and, to me anyway, that's the saddest thing of all. This is not to say that he shouldn't face the consequences of his actions, far from it. If he's half the man he claims he is then he'll accept this ruling and live with it; of course we all know that's not the case.

He'll whine and scream about the injustice of it all and lay the blame of his own actions at the feet of everyone but himself; because nothing is ever his fault.

At any rate many thanks to the Flordia Supreme Court. This was long over due and maybe now Thompson can get a full time gig on Fox News like he seems to want. Afterall he is their go to "first ammendment expert."

I agree with what this user said on Gamepolitics.com

Though unlike this poster, I really want to feel sad for Thompson and how he utterly destroys himself, but there is no way I can feel sorry for him after seeing story after story of him trashing everybody around him.

Hmm, I do have some cake in the fridge. Seems like a good time for dessert.

You guys realize this is probably a bad thing in the long run right? Yeah Thompson was annoying but he filled the void of the guy rallying against video games to save children. The upside of it was the fact that the guy is completely incompetent and had no idea how to make his message heard. The next one to fill that void is going to be much better at getting their point across and potentially more harmful to the industry. Always stick with the devil you know.

You mean like when this guy died:

Only to be replaced by this guy?

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Tag, courtesy of fkusumot: "Why do most of the PS3 fanboys have avatars that looks totally pissed?"
"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

That's true, but I don't know if there is another truly competent anti-videogame person...other than occasional smack-talk by oblivious news teams I don't think we'll have as much trouble for a while.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
