I'm no math genius, but 28,903 is more than 27,573.  So, it would seem that Japan is Nintendo market, if anything...and in that vein, 63,900 is more than double 27, 573.  Lastly, M$ isn't i nthe handheld market...yet...but with some of what they are learning from Zune, and what Apple is current saying about their handhled prowess...hmmm...

lol, true, true, but you have to admit, LOL MATURE's spin was right up there in the epic levels as well. When you read a post, your preception is usually determined by the first couple of posts. LOLMATURE probably doesn't actually believe what he says, it's an attempt to change perception, and control the somewhat good news for the 360 this week in Japan. It's just a very flagrant and poor attempt at doing so. That's why it's so epic.

I'm a sony hater, just want to get that out...their $hit is always overpriced, imho, and i'm not just talking about consoles.  i don't buy ANY sony products, because I can always get jsut as good for less.  With that said, I love how people are "spinning" the improvement 360 is experiencing in Japan.  Imho, 360 isn't competing against Sony or Nintendo in Japan...it's competing against the ambivalence of Japan consumers for buying electronics from anywhere else in the world.  I remember comments made last year about how 360 would never make it in Japan because of blah blah blah...hmmm...seems like M$ was right and alot of doubter, including me, were wrong.  360 is establishing a position in Japan, which means Sony, AND Nintendo can't leave their home turf open, while seeking greater mkt share in others and the NA.  I've never been under the impression that PS3 was a failure....what is an absolute failure is Sony's strategy objectives with the launch of this console.  The PS3 is SOLIDLY in 3rd place, and it's not looking promising for them to get to #1 anytime soon...like in the next 7 years...on that vaunted 10-year plan...lol.

Microsoft are doing much better this generation than last.  Sony by comparison, are doing poorly.

Sony have also lost a tonne of money on the PS3, money they are unlikely to ever completely make back.

Unless you are referring to spin I created another time in another thread, your implications are unfounded.

B-I-N-G-O...I love it when people compare 360 to PS3, as if PS2 didn't completely OWNED last gen, and as if ALMOST ALL the estimates were for PS3 to be completely owning this gen, currently.  The facts are:

- PS3 is dead last, spin all you want about it's later release over 360...that's complete bull, since Wii didn't have a problem catching up and moving past.

- It cost Sony a TON of money to develop, and it's probably NEVER going to recoup it's losses, as per the CEO himself, not some sony hater like me.

- The central core of Sony's strategy to usher in the brd age is not going according to plan, and as the current lay of the land looks, brd isn't going to be the answer.

- It's the most expensive console, the hardest to program for, and the most expensive to run, ie. power. 

Now, one speculation on my part is that given M$ experience with programming, it doesn't bode well for Sony in the next gen, wrt to ease of progamming, as M$ is only going to make it easier and easier to program for the Xbox series as the years progress, therefore making it cheaper for games to be developed.
