one week to go for my ps3 to come back :(

That calculator is impressive! Look at how awesome the stages are in the beta with limited items and such, the full game is going to be... huge!
OMFG, now thats amazing.
I have a couple of create questions.
1) If I select the Blank template the ground is wrapped in burlap sack. I can't figure out how to "skin" it so it is not visible. Do I need to start my level higher so it is out of sight?
2) Some objects have custom textures like carpet. Are these textures applied as stickers or is it a material that I haven't earned yet? Would it be possible to create my own textures with the Eye?
3) How do I create backgrounds? I only have 1 available in the background section.
4) What happens when the beta ends? I assume we can still create and save locally. Will we be able to publish our beta levels in the retail product?
Any help would be appreciated. I am having a lot of fun playing this game. Some of the user created levels are truly impressive.
