At this point, Ill only be miffed if I were an exclusive PC gamer or hardcore AoE fan. The Age of Empires franchise is the thing that will suffer. But as an Xbox 360 owner, this means more higher budgeted and better 360 games for the future.

In regards to human movements, it sucks and you can only feel for them, but this is life. MGS has already delivered huge games and content so if even more is invested in the future, even better for 360 owners.

They should better release keyboard/mouse support for the 360 >.<

So the new MGS is gonna be bigger and better than ever! Thats good to know!!

Maybe it was the extreme letdown that left such a bad impression on me from Fable, and I didn't say bad, B&W were bad, 2 was better but not good, and Fable was just mediocre. I don't know how Fable 2 will be since I don't know how The Movies did. From what I have seen before though all this hype might just end up biting everyone in the ass... again.

So you dont know how Fable 2 is going to be becuase you dont know how the movies did? That makes no sence at all

That's exactly what I'm saying. If The Movies was good then that means they can produce a game with above average quality, if not then the chances of Fable 2 being good decrease significantly, still possible but not as much. I'm just going by Molyneux's recent track record which is great promises and games which don't come up to even half of what he promised. He may have broken that track record with The Movies or he could have continued it. If he did then I have no expectations from Fable 2 other than the fact that you will be able to walk around and you will have a dog walk around with you.

P.S. Not to nitpick, but it's also spelled sense. I don't mean that as an offensive remark.

AOE will suffer?  Huh???  I'm not sure what empirical data you have to jsutify that statement.  AOE was one of M$'s biggest success in the PC gaming arena, so I'm not sure they are going to screw with that...and given that it's SOME senior level managers leaving the new studios (BTW, the old CEO from Esemble is the new lead for MGS).

No one has 'empirical data' but the people at Ensemble, so no one will know exactly. But it doesnt take a rocket scientist to work out that when a studio that is in charge of that franchise loses some key management, the game may not suffer in quality if they hire good people, but in the very least, the franchise will be put on hold until the team is settled and the development cycles will be longer.

The fact that MS is pushing investment elsewhere shows this, and the retained Ensemble staff are now MGS staff, so they can be put on all the other projects. If AoE4 was in production, why the hell would MS close Ensemble? And if you want me to make a prediction it will be that after Halo Wars, the new MGS staff will not work on AoE4 but on another 360 project- just my prediction.

As profitable as AoE was, it pales in comparison to other MGS games now for the 360. For the retained Ensemble staff, this could be a big boon for them, especially as Halo Wars is shaping up to be a fantastic game.

By the way, I really like AoE. But I will take better 360 games anyday. And thats why I said, only if I play PC exclusively, this is a sad day.

I'm not sure on the how well AOE sold, but i did like the series of games.  When I spoke of empirical data, I was mostly think in terms of M$ putting more "teeth" into MGS, which, after reading Shelley's comments leads me to believe is  that it's a corporate restructuring, vice slash them because of underperformance.  not saying you came to that conclusion, but I've read alot of posting on different site raging about them closing down ensemble...
