The original GoW is very good by itself, and there isn't much to improve... you can give more of what you gave in the original+extras.

R2, on the other hand, improves every aspect that was lax in the original - the main character, graphics, online play, single player campaign...

That's how I see it.

back on topic resistance 2 is looking awsome indeed, ive not seen a detailed level like that before ie, the forest level, everything was smooth and was on a giant map

looks like only fable 2 for me on 360 this year, the 1st time in any gen that i have a console that the games on it dont intrest me.

So you can't like R2 on it's own merits, you have to like it MORE than Gears 2?

I categorically disagree with that sentiment, but if it makes any of you feel better to disparage one product in order to make yourself feel better have at it.

On topic, game looks great. My excitement for it is tempered by the sadness posted on this thread though.

Really, its all a matter of personal taste. This game looks better than Gears 2 IMO, but someone can easily have another opinion. The point though is, this game delivers on so many levels, its sick.
