Forums - Gaming - Armored Core from Answers reviewed by IGN. 360 > PS3 due to visuals...

I don't think a little slowdown would persuade me to not play the ps3 version of the game if that was the only console i owned.

However for the people with both consoles, the choice should be obvious...achievements + better visuals.

PS. Sorry about the title misspell. For Answers...From Answers...both sound odd to me.

There are a few slowdowns in AC2 on the PS2, during as he says, intense action. Didn't bother me too much. Plus, I prefer the DS3, so it should be ok on PS3 as well.

Thanks for the review, disolitude.

So you mean ps3 is a crap compare to 360??

i have yet to see you make any contributions to any of the threads you post in.

this game is only 2 points difference, baja on PS3 got 4.9 compared to 360's 6.9, some devs are just being lazy on ps3's side since baja on ps3 almost looks like PS2 game

Just read the Baja reviews...thats nuts and very lazy of developers. Thankfully there is Pure so both console owners can ignore Baja.

i'm interested in how good this game is as armoured core 4 was crap and had a stupid difficulty level. and a .2 difference makes isn't a serious thing either... if the points gap was bigger then maybe it would matter

People act like this is somehow the 360 being better. The 360 is not better in any way then the PS3. What happens sometimes is the cost of making 2 distinct versions is too high so they dumb down both to what the 360 can handle (less textures, lower resolution, less things on screen ect). They don't want to get hit with the 2 or 3 DVD tax MS puts on (since 3 DVD games makes the 360 look bad) and don't want to make a separate higher res version for the PS3 so they just release the same lower then average version to both.

It is not a coincidence that PS3 only games look loads better then multiplatform games. Uncharted, MGS4 and the like look awesome because they're not tethered to the low specs of the 360. To say a tethered game is slightly better on the 360 isn't news.

Incidentally this tethering is why I find it worthwhile to hate the 360. It makes a lot of the games I want to play on PS3 worse.

What we really need as far as mech games goes is Zone of the Enders 3. Kojima has some free time now so.....

Now you know how Gamecube and Xbox owners felt last gen.

its clearly the 360 version was lead developed, then coded onto ps3.

armoured core isnt going to sell well, so finantially they wouldnt be able to make both game on pair.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

Hah, lol @ you. Every multiplat on the GC and XB looked much better than its PS2 counterpart. Compare some Madden games and let's say... Soul Calibur 2... the GC, from personal experience, looks far better.

Its true man...PS2 multiplat games looked worse than GC and xbox. Like Sonic Heroes was unplayable on ps2 cause of the framerate. PS2 was difficult to develop for as well...plus it was the least powerful.

It wasn't really difficult to develop for, but the fact is that it was far weaker.

Honestly, I didn't expect that almost two years since launch, PS3 games would have such terrible issues. Frame rate drops Sucks and it's not just Armored Core that has this problem. Almost EVERY multiplatform title (except Burnout and DMC4) that I played on my pal's PS3 (ok, I haven't played every multiplat!) has these issues and it is really annoying.
I wonder for how long will smaller developers have these specific issues with the PS3.
The story with the "lazy" developers is getting veeery old and veeery tiring and boring.
It seems gaming is full of lazy developers...
