3000 was soldier deaths. On the georgian side. According to the Russians.

It wasn't counting all the deaths caused by the russian shellings that started it, or the towns the russians burned to the ground.

Any link would be good... last time I watched the news there where lot less ;) But hey, even if its 3000, for the loosing side that would be amazing ;)

 

Oh, and MrBubbles... again , do you have any concrete facts, or you are just speaking out of your... well buble? And if we are really going there, have we ever seen a war where there arent some sadistic members going postal? Here are just a couple of examples :

So... its somewhere between 300 and 3000... still, its impressive, especially seing that the Russians have lost less then 70 soldiers in this "war". Again I stand at what I stated previously: it was a by-the-book conflict, almost flawless Russian military action, and believe me, if they would have went in old-school ( like during WW2/'56) the number of dead people could have been much, much higher ;)

This only proves how much the brutal "red army" had evolved, and how civilized it can be today ;)

Yes, but you can see that every country creates chaos and pain when they go to war... especially the winning side. Being that China, Russia, USA or any other democratic or non-democratic country ;)

Yes, Russia went to war, OMG... but the world wont end, and like it or not IMO it was not a bad move...

Again, we are comming back to the same point, so its really not a point of debate, rather then a point of view, so we are only making circles here ;)
