Yeah, this is just news, how can be anti-sony news if this is the actual policy of Sony :S

That's terrible, and some people complained to EA about Spore's DRM... PS3's DRM is far worse.
Sony only allows you to download a game 5 times?? Atleast in Spore you had unlimited installs.
160GB HDD, no problem. Thank god Sony made it so easy to swap harddrives, unlike other companies that will remain unmentioned....

I believe it is 5 times on different PS3s. I don't think you are limited on the number of game downloads on the PS3 it was purchased on.
Thanks for the input, Jeff.

But you have to purchase a unique copy for everyone in your household.....

When he went to re-downloaded the movie, he discovered that he couldn’t. A phone call to Sony eventually fixed the problem, but with a sobering warning: users are only allowed once such re-download per account. If, for whatever reason, the user in question deleted the movie again, he wouldn’t be able to re-download it again. One and done. If you buy a Movie, make sure you keep track of how many times you've deleted it. Delete it twice and you've lost your movie Here's the original article - http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20080921-playstation-3-video-drm-two-strikes-and-youre-out.html |
Again bashing the ps3, no surprise there.

I guess thats an advantage and a disadvantage. The reason why such DRM's are in place is exactly because you can swap HDDs so easily.
BTW, you must really hate MS that you can't even mention them by name

Wow you're dumb, I didn't mention them by name in an attempt to be polite and not upset you. And can you prove that the swappable harddrive is the cause of this?
It's most likely just pressure on Sony from movie studios, because as everyone knows, this is the age of DRM.

Actually, I think they've loosened up a bit on that just recently.

"From Spore forums:We are going to add the ability to have multiple Spore Screen Names for any one Spore Online Account. Here’s how this will work: for each copy of Spore that you have purchased, you will be able to have one Spore Online Account, just as it is now. However, we will be adding the ability to have five Spore Screen Names for that account. When you launch Spore, you will be able to log in with any of those Screen Names."
