However, I don't believe SE when they say FFversusXIII will be PS3 exclusive. I believe the guy making it might believe it's still PS3 exclusive, but I'd willing to bet good money that once SE sees FFXIII sales, they're gonna put that Crystal Tools to good use.

To add to that, SE has stated multiple times in the past that they wanted to concentrate more on international success of multiple games (not just FF series) and to pursue a multiplatform strategy. Hell, I remember a few years back them making allusions to wanting to be an EA-like entity of Japan. I don't think it's reasonable to expect exclusives from SE anymore, especially now that Crystal Tools includes not only the PS3, 360 and PC but also the Wii.

As i remember the SE guy said he hoped it would be a simultaneous release and that he hoped the the look of the game would be comparable on each machine. SE made no promises and I'm quite sure of that having read the transcript.

I don't expect this game until mid 2010 at the earliest.

Is it wrong to assume there will be only 1 main FF game this gen and not 3 like for the PS1 gen and 3 for the PS2 gen? I do hope a faster and better development team is working on FF14.

from a money perspective it makes more sense to release the finished ps3 version instead of sitting on it for a few months waiting for the port of the 360 version to be complete.

but

microsoft may have paid top dollar for this and want a same timesy release so SE may infact sit on the ps3 version till its all done

Other places get the PS3/360 version at the same time, a year later.

 

Where have you been, FFXIII is Exclusive in Japan.

And i believe PS3 will get it first, then 360 will get it a year later in NA
