I'm likely to trust a company when say they will do something that will make them more money.
So, I believe SE when they say they will launch both versions day 1 outside of Japan (which is usually the best way, since delaying one tends to hurt the sales of that version without significantly increasing the others sales).
However, I don't believe SE when they say FFversusXIII will be PS3 exclusive. I believe the guy making it might believe it's still PS3 exclusive, but I'd willing to bet good money that once SE sees FFXIII sales, they're gonna put that Crystal Tools to good use.

Oh man, I couldn't have said it better. More people to play the game is even better, especially when a 200$ difference could stop you from playing it. o_o

To add to that, SE has stated multiple times in the past that they wanted to concentrate more on international success of multiple games (not just FF series) and to pursue a multiplatform strategy. Hell, I remember a few years back them making allusions to wanting to be an EA-like entity of Japan. I don't think it's reasonable to expect exclusives from SE anymore, especially now that Crystal Tools includes not only the PS3, 360 and PC but also the Wii.
