There wasn't this much Rage-Debate on the "To all Non-Believers..." thread. Something is wrong here...

I believe because thats how I was raised in my Christian family and church. I have also had experiences which made me realize how real and active God really is. To me he is my only reason for existence. I also believe Jesus came and died for me and all of my sins are forgivin through his blood.

There have been a number of breakthroughs in explaining consciousness actually. I suggest subscribing or looking over the Scientific American Mind magazine. Some really fascinating stuff. So what happens when we explain consciousness? What will be left of our bodies that we won't be able to explain and be able to pin it on god?

Right now people are all going on about how science can't proof why we are alive and what consciousness is. Fact it there have been some pretty good breakthroughs and I can see an explanation coming out "soon." When that happens what will the religious folk latch on to try to tell us that humans aren't just a bunch of cells which work symbiotically to survive?
