There have been a number of breakthroughs in explaining consciousness actually. I suggest subscribing or looking over the Scientific American Mind magazine. Some really fascinating stuff. So what happens when we explain consciousness? What will be left of our bodies that we won't be able to explain and be able to pin it on god?
