Maybe Sony.

Sony. *Did I just type that?*

Since I have never bought a non-Nintendo-developed game for myself, I would not ever play another video game if Nintendo disappeared. I have not found a non-Nintendo franchise I like (and I've tried most of the big ones).
If Nintendo became a third-party developer, I would buy the Sony version (Will. Not. Buy. Microsoft. Products.). If Nintendo got bought by Sony, it would be the same. If Nintendo got bought by MS, I would act like they no longer existed - MS would ruin their flair for good games like they did with Rare.
id have no alleigance... just which ever console had more games that interest me...

If nintendo ended and none of their software went to another system, then probably Sony.
If all of their software went to another system exclusively, then I'd buy said system.
If their software were split exclusively between both systems, then whichever had my favorite games.
If their software went wherever whenever, then I'd probably go Sony and hope they get more Nintendo software than the competition.
EDIT: oh, and I probably wouldn't even buy a system if prices were >$250, as I've never spent more than that on a console.

Depends on the question.
1. Nes failed
The landscape would be very different.
2. Nintendo 3rd party
I would go with whatever console their games came out followed by X360 then PS3 (and I would probably be enter this generation must later)
