Next to that sony said at the end of year they will have an other announcement. Expect an other price break for the US and and the first one for the EU.

I believe it will be nintendo first but it will be close and the gap will widen largely as off september because of metroid prime 3.

 You seriously think PS3 will reach 4M in 1 week? That means it will need to sell around 270-280k in a week in the Americas, which is like 14 times as much as last week.

I'm going to say Wii.

Well, right now, the Wii has just under 1 million to reach 10m, the PS3 though has approximately ~210k to go. (According to numbers that this site have reported as sold) I never said that it's a certainty that they will do it in one week, just that from what I have heard from those in the industry that it wouldn't shock me.  That would be close to 2 weeks of it being at the new lower price on the 60gb version. (it is friday and the news was released on Sunday/Monday so 5-6 days already and keep in mind I said within a week, not "in one week") That would be that they could achieve it just by averaging ~105k a week for the first 2 weeks of the the price cut.  

Of course the PS3 will sell many times more this week then it had the prior week (Before the price cut).  Except at launch, we had never seen the PS3 out of stock often, and many retailers are reporting that they are out of stock. (Primarily CC and Amazon)

How many do you honestly think that will sell for sony in a week?

Actually, PS3 is at 3.69M at the main page, so that is still 310k to go and not 210k. For the coming week I can see PS3 getting somewhere between recent XBox 360 and Wii sales so anywhere from 40-70k. But considering Sony themselves are reporting double sales I think getting 50k for the week would be very nice already (since that is over 2.5 times the sales of last week already) That would put it at around 80k WW this week, which will only go down again from there unless some interesting software is released.

Looks to me like the PS3 will reach its milestone first. Not much of a consolation for anyone wishing it to finish first in any case. =/
