yes usually 360 is undertracked.
The thing that makes this seem slightly less bad for PS3 is that the figures were not over the past 9 days. If we had the numbers for the past 9 days we would see roughly
360: 170k
PS3: 50k
If those were the numbers that were released that would of made a world of difference really.
Are some fo you really comparing this year's numbers to last year's at this time for 360? Like, the two weeks before the release of Halo 3?
And you expect bigger ones this year? LOL Right.
@Those expecting higher numbers
August - 360 sold 205,000
September (two weeks only) - 360 sold 180,000
September being a five week month means the 360 could sell over 400,000 consoles which hasn't been done since December 07

nice week for the 360 eating up the PS3 sales
wii is a monster
VEry disappoitning Xbox 360 sales.....everyone wanted 100K +
A price drop in NA/JAP....A JRPG in Japan from S-E.....full week of price drop in NA = 40K ahead of the Ps3 WW
A Bitter....bitter disappointment
Everytime there's a 360 spike, the PS3 drops. The reason why is obvious. The PS3 and 360 are competing for the same consumer $. The Wii is not. A customer goes out to buy either a Wii, or a HD console, and they don't waiver from HD to Wii, or vice versa... but they *will* waiver from PS3 to 360 or vice versa.
If you combine the HD consoles, and compare them to the Wii each week, you can see that the numbers are really really consistant.

Thats the problem for the PS3. There competing for the same market without enough to seperate them gamewise. For those in the Blu-ray market, they are more likely to wait for a lower priced higher quality standalone player. This price cut's significant lasting impact won't be the increased sales of the 360 in my opinion, but rather the decreased sales of the PS3. With the economy in the shitter, $200 is gonna look mighty nice compared to $400.

if you go by that logic, why do you have the wii only selling 7 million in 2009? =P
Frankly, I don't know why some of you act surprised.
The blueprint for this gen got openly laid out to everyone months ago: wii dominating, 360 and ps3 fighting for the same slice of the pie.
