Everytime there's a 360 spike, the PS3 drops. The reason why is obvious. The PS3 and 360 are competing for the same consumer $. The Wii is not. A customer goes out to buy either a Wii, or a HD console, and they don't waiver from HD to Wii, or vice versa... but they *will* waiver from PS3 to 360 or vice versa.

If you combine the HD consoles, and compare them to the Wii each week, you can see that the numbers are really really consistant.

Thats the problem for the PS3. There competing for the same market without enough to seperate them gamewise. For those in the Blu-ray market, they are more likely to wait for a lower priced higher quality standalone  player. This price cut's significant lasting impact won't be the increased sales of the 360 in my opinion, but rather the decreased sales of the PS3. With the economy in the shitter, $200 is gonna look mighty nice compared to $400.
