Monster Hunter Portable 2nd 500K Fire Emblem Wii 50K Naruto Wii 20K Sim City DS 20K Metal Slug PSP 10K http://ameblo.jp/sinobi/ EDIT: So great sales for MHP2, wounder how much boost we will on the PSP...50k? Or is it the same crowd that bought MHP1? disapointed for FE Wii, a new favorit of my own, I hope that it still will be sold in the West.
Buy it and pray to the gods of Sigs: Naznatips!
Holy crap!! Those are enormous number for MHP2. Although the game will be extremely frontloaded I think sales around 600k for the first week are likely and both Monster Hunters will pass a million - could end up being the only two PSP games that do so (unless any big announcements are on the horizon). We probably wont see a strong boost in PSP sales this week if rumours are to be believed - MHP1 users are the ones buying the game in general, is 50k possible? Decent number for Fire Emblem (~75k for the week?) and should have larger legs than the GC version (by virtue of launching earlier in the life of the system and so on) so should hit 200k. Naruto will have legs so still early days for that (~55-60k for the week, 250-300k lifetime) Strong MHP2 sales shows that big sales are possible for a system - remember PSP userbase is over 5 million - even if software sales in general are weak. I'm suprised MH hasn't been announced on DS / Wii yet, although perhaps it works better on PSP. So in summary, enormous sales for MHP this week, but likely not to have much of a long-term effect on PSP performance in Japan...

Impressive - DS has only 3 stronger records as for first week. It is like Pokemon in the world of DS Users - 1 copy for 10 Users on day one
Nice 1st day numbers - probably won't sell much more for the week (wasn't the shipment 500k in total?). Fire Emblem also did well - will total 70k-80k for the week (decent start). PSP will get a boost - but by how much, we'll find out soon enough. Now watch for Capcom to bring their latest best-selling franchise to all platforms ;)
