We always hear the term " the real hardcore fans" well thats all it took for microsofts 360 to outsell the ps3 in japan ! all 30,873 of em , im sure SE is so proud of them ,

just makes u wonder ......what will the sales be like for the 1st decent RPG/JRPG that comes out for the ps3 !! wait wait !! how about ps3 sales for all those RPG fans that are still holding out  awaiting a decent RPG !!

This has to be one of the saddest threads ever. You PS3 fanboys are really a class act. Microsoft wanted Japans fanbase, so what did they do? They gave them a cheaper system that offers the same games with either exclusivity or timed exclusivity. This way they can up sales. I don't call this stupidity...I call it a smart plan. The problem with biased loyalists is that they form little brainless cults, and anything outside is the damned if they don't believe in their cause. They will excuse the stupid moves of their precious leader because they believe in the infallibility of them as if they were a god.

The PS3 will only fare well with RPG's in Japan as it stands right now. In the future, we will never be able to tell, but 4th quarter is looking exciting for the 360 and the PS3 war.

The 360's sales didn't go up for one RPG, it went up for having the largest library of diverse games and they just so happened to add a hell of alot on the popular titles. RPG's appeal to another crowd that they just so happen to want. JAPANESE PEOPLE AND HARDCORE JRPG FANS! GET OVER YOURSELF!

The Xbox 360 and MS may never win everyones respect, but at least they are appealing to a wider audience than they believed before. Marketing helps. They obviously studied their competition. You have no observation skills.

This post is even more sad when the OP doesn't even realize (or is at least blocking it out to make himself happy) that both systems will have FFXIII, which is the most anticipated game. PS3 fanboys can try and act like Versus is the game they've been waiting for, but in fact FFXIII is the main story, so they need to get over themselves. In truth they shouldn't get over themselves because they have no part in Sonys greatness besides to say that they bought their product to make Sony richer and greedier. What Sony fanboys need to do is stop acting like Sony is a religion and get off of their ****.

You know even as a PS3 owner you can't blame MS for investing in making sure it has RPG and other titles while Sony didn't or is investing in games that are taking a long time to hit the market.

All Sony had to do was ensure one or two solid RPGs hit PS3 and due to higher install base in Japan they would easily outshine 360... but they didn't... their loss.

Sony did the same thing to Sega. Playstation pulled all the games away from Saturn. Saturn was also harder to program for compared to the Playstation. This time around it's Microsoft that is raping Sony.

Isn't it obvious that PS3 would sell more if there were RPGs on it? Microsoft is smart by preventing that.
