tooshai junkie
I'm with you on it. Ever since it got popular (even here in Israel, where gaming isn't as big as in let's say, America), I'm always being asked the same damn question by dumbass GH fanboys: "can you play Through The Fire and Flames on your guitar"... to add up to that, some actually think that if they are good at guitar hero they are good at real guitar and try to bring me down... anyway, lol @ them, lol @ this game.
Game just seems a bit pointless to me, like many more casual games and girls won't be impressed with high Guitar Hero scores as much as they will be impressed with that you can actually play a real guitar and am maybe in a band.
Here's one thing that really annoyed me a little while back about it though. A bloke at work, presumably not a gamer, played Guitar Hero and asked where he could get it for himself. At the time Guitar Hero 3 had just come out. Now the person he asked apparently answer X-box360. Now that's all well and good but if he really was going to buy a console for only 1 single game, why did the person not suggest the PS2 which at the time was nearly £100 cheaper.
Hmm, pie.
Your tired of the threads im tired of freakin games every two months there a new one how many times can you recreate a single game with different songs.

How many guitarhero/rock band type games have there been just in the last 16 months alone? this whole thing is getting more out of hand than EA releasing up to 3 damn fifa games per year, Sure, A lot of people still like GH/RB, But they are clearly making far too many of these games in such a short space of time, Its making EA actually look like they are very patient whilst at the same time desperately awaiting the next big football tournament so they can release 3 or even 4 fifa games a year (Fifa street aswell now grrrrrrrrrr)
These games are ok, but come on, not only do they keep releasing part 2, 3,4 ect they also still release DLC for the previous versions....... Greedy Bar stewards

the simple devastating answer is that there is no end.

IMO this is a MILKY genre
RB2 came out 10 months after the first? Few improvements? Still hotcakes.
If you beat HG3 on hard/expert i say you might as well had put that effort in on a real guitar. I don't bother to play it again because of this.

You can create a simulation and have it sell a bundle for morons who are too sad to live life. Look at second life, look at World of Warcraft and look at these two games. I haven't met a person who played WOW that wasn't hooked on it like a crack addict and the same goes for this game. "OMG!! they put up a Megadeth song? Let me play it! I want to see how good I can be." Call me an elitist...i'm a realist and I just so happen to play guitar and actually sing. Heres some respectable words.

I dont know, I sing and I really like RB, I usually only do the vocals, that is the reason I got it. I didnt like guitar hero at all, but when I knew that there was a game where you could do the same as guitar hero with drums and singing I had to get it.
I understand what you are saying, but for me, singing in the game is the same thing as singing in real life, aand this game is making me have more practice and Im reaching higher tones now, besides there are a lot of groups I didnt know and it has helped me to expand my music library.

No...singing in Rockband is not the same as real life. Rockband is based off of the same logic as Singstar where even though you're singing, once you raise difficulty the only way to beat the game is to become consistant only to watching the lines in the game. I can do that, I decided to sing "Would" by Alice in Chains while battling a friend. I did a great job and stuck to the notes but my friend who couldn't sing followed the lines alone without talent and still won. Everyone applauded me and told him that he won because he followed a technical system in the game. I lowered the standard of my range (Which right now is 3 octave with only 5 months of training.) to satisfy the game. Alot of people even told me I should make a CD after that day.
