Rogue Galaxy did 0.36 mil according to VGchartz, which is probably the best comparision here but it was on a much bigger (10x bigger) userbase. I'd say L5 should be happy with 300k LTD and 400 LTD would be a success.

JRPG's are doing terrible this gen. I believe JRPG sales will rise when the frugal consumers enter the new hd market.

The PS2 was already loaded with JRPGs when RG came out.  The PS3 on the other hand, is starved for JRPGs.  Also, correct me if I am wrong, but isn't WKC more hyped than RG was, especially in the West where RG wasn't very popular

I think JRPG fans should just get both HD consoles.  That is if they have the money.

I was originally quite pumped for this title but my interest waned.

That said, if it is as good as it first looked/sounded, 1.5 million WW should be a dead cert and 2 million likely if claims about the PS3's JRPG-shifting abilities are well-founded.

I guess Eternal Sonata will tell us.

If they are majority frugal (Which usually they are) they will only focus on one console first and then get the other. Frugal people tend to think harder about Price/ gaming library & more.

I agree with what you're saying though. JRPG fans should get both HD consoles, yes...exactly so that they don't miss out on anything. This is what i've been saying. They get the best of both worlds. The frugal consumers will be pinching pennies so price will be the first deciding factor.
