Forums - Nintendo - Which ones would you play?

I picked up these games this weekend for $1. I had to take apart most of them to clean the contacts with some Brillo and now they all work wonderfully.

1. So, if you had picked up these games and had a NES which one would play first and why?

2. Which games would you play last or not play at alll?

Personally I picked Bionic Commando since I hadn't played it in a looooooooooong time. Some of the design decisions still piss me off a bit but I'm still loving the emphasis on looking/focusing on places that are UP, instead of worring about gooombas racing at you from below.

Not sure what 2nd is going to be but probably Duck Tales because I'll be ready to re-orientate with a traditional platformer. 3rd choice is between Iron Tank and Ninja Gaiden II. Two fucking hard games. I'll be heading to Gamefaqs for some tips with those two. After that I'm not sure except for one.

I'll play SMB3 last. Not sure if I want to play Faxanadu again. Nothing against it, great game, just hasn't aged well. Same thing with MGS. I remeber it being so cool when it came out and then playing it and finding it very slooooooooooooow and repetitive.

Astayanax is fun arcade shooter that is great for pick up and play, Renegade is a beat-em and smash the other gang to get your gf back. Both Astayanax and renegade can be good for ten minutes of fun or an intense one hour to ∞.

So does anyone have a line-up they would go through and some rational as to why?

Ohh duck tales, I LOVE that game.

But I think you should do what you say: play Bionic Commando first then Duck Tales.

Damn I need to go to my older borthers place, he collects old gamingsystems and games, think he has about 42k$ worth of it.

Must borrow the old classics.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

man, did you buy the camera for $1 too?

Out of the ones I think I can read, I would choose DuckTales because I had that game when I was a kid.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

No, the camera is a Pentax SLR K100 with a GP lens, Macro lens and Zoom Lens. The picture has been cropped, downsized and converted to 8-bit. If you can't read the titles I do mention all of them in the OP.

Yea, I noticed the extra text after the photo once I posted. I didn't feel like going back and editing it. My answer stays the same, but for the second game I'd play Super Mario Bros 3.

Out of the ones I can read I'd say Ninja Gaiden =P do you really have Mario Brothers in that stack? I really can't tell... I got Ninja Gaiden collection on the SNES and went back to play it and remembered how much harder the originals were vs the new ones which are hard as hell themselves @_@ anyway all I got to say is NES is the real hardcore system... really... it is... most of the games near the end of the consoles life was all about making it impossible to win... BTW go find a copy of Ghouls and Ghosts and Battletoads fkusumot and try to beat them ;)

MaxwellGT2000 - "Does the amount of times you beat it count towards how hardcore you are?"

Ghouls and Ghosts. I bought a NES advantage (w/turbo) and thought I was GOD until I got that game. I never did get more than halfway through before giving up. Hard fucking crappy game that for some reason offered a lot of dumb replay value, which come to think of it, was what made it an excellent stand-up arcade title.
