You guys need to stop with these stupid notions that Japan does not celebrate Christmas right now. Christmas is no longer a religious thing, and Japan does celebrate it. This is a pretty poor choice of a release date, even though it would be a somewhat worse choice in NA or EU.

It's definitely not the big thing it is in NA or EU, but Christmas is pretty much a worldwide holiday. Come on, people.

Edit: Already posted

Chirstmas is celebrated in Japan.. but is more a commercial day then anything religious... They know Santa but not the jc is born story... It is celebrated but it is overshadowed by New Year..

OT.. Looks great hope it will come to the west soon..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

25th of December is NOT a national holiday in Japan.

End of story.

Some people buy strawberry cake and KFC.

Yeah.

On topic, this is going tn be huge for the PS3 in Japan.

白騎士物語 -古の鼓動-
White Knight Chronicles -Heartbeat of the Ancients- / -Ancient Pulse

(no link =x)

Damnit!!! why couldn't you put for Japan in the title.  I was really excited for about 10 seconds there before I realized I was going to have to wait another 6 months for localization.  This game looks incredible and is from a great developer.

Im sure some are, it might not be a big day in their culture though...

They are mostly Buddhist. Of course Christianity is a major religion around the world because of many reasons, so obviously there are a good amount of them in Japan but doesn't make the majority. (It'd be like getting pissed off that a game is releasing in NA on Buddha Day in May.)

(And if I'm not mistaken the Japanese celebrate a week or so into the new year unlike NA where we basically celebrate on and up to the 25th by stuffing our faces then digest for 5 days then go out and get wasted)

Technically about 70% of Japanese are atheist. Japan is the least religious country in the world by far.  There isn't a single religion that has more then 10% of the populace.

I doubt the 25th means much to most of them at all unless they work in a company that sells to the US or European markets.
