Just for a little fun. Who is willing to bet their signature and avatar for a whole year that Microsoft will release a next generation Xbox or withdraw from the market in 2009?

Its pretty simple - but since there are people who still hold onto the belief that the Xbox is on some sort of 4 year slide into failure I need to offer them the chance to take this bet.

Anyhu, ermm I think depending on the price cut effect and how well the ps3 competes next year, they are likely to release or announce a new console, but how soon they do this, it is hard to say. I shall ponder and get back with a verdict :s

There is absolutely no way there will be ANY new console until the end of 2010 at the very earliest--probably 2011. I'll take that bet.
