Serves me right for listening to those 360/wii fans saying "LOL Yakuza 3 flopped" and then showing the sales figures for one and two... now I think 300k is quite good sales. Especially since they will probablly be working off of Kenzan so this shouldn't have much more development costs. I'm sure the developers will be happy if three gets 400k sales when it's released in Japan (Very plausable)

Nikkom - The cutscenes look way better thatn gameplay. But Yakuza 3 looks way better than Kenzan. You can def. see improvments in graphics.

Isn't Yakuza in modern times while Kenzan is in old Japan (which is what like those screens look like)

The pics posted by the OP are cutscene pics. Anyone who has ever played a Yakuza game will know this. The gamplay graphics wont be as good but they will still be great compared to the likes of GTA. I think they will be more down the lines of MGS4 gameplay graphics.

I can't wait. yakuza 1 settings were just awesome; with all the neon lights and crowds that talk and go about their business and the underworld they created. The PS3 edition will truly ROCK_ON :p

Ryu ga gotoku kenzan was started as a ps2 project, that later was moved to the ps3 by request from sony to sega, thats one of the reasons the game has some mixed graphics some parts of it are really great looking, and other seam right out of a ps2

Yakuza 3 on the other hand is a full blown ps3 project that will introduce many new features that kenzan didn't have like, there are no loadings when you enter a fight the camera is fully controllable now and some new features

And to the people that want to see this get a western release you better buy yakuza 2, or sega will never release this outside japan . The first one bombed hard in the us, if the second is as big of a flop as the first then sega will drop this series in the west for good this time, and thats a real shame if it happens since its one of the best games i played in years has its flaws but never the less its an amazing series (yakuza 1 and 2 )

The first two shots look great, in the third the person looks great but no so much the enviroment, and the fourth is just ok.

Those shots are from the cut scenes. I seen in game shots in the latest Famitsu and they are not that good but are stunning none the less (very similar to Ryu ga gotoku: Kenzan in graphics which i have)

Check out the Japanese website for Yakuza 3 which is titled "Ryu ga gotoku". Search it in google. Yakuza 3 is the link in the middle of the flash banner. At the moment they don't have game play images up so bookmark it for future.
