I saw it and I lol'd.
But I was busy dealing with the liberal and deliberate misinterpretation of what I have said in this thread.
starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

please refrain from embarassing yourself
as you didn't get the point the first time round.....I'll enlighten you
MGs2 sales in NA & EU weren't tracked so the graph is VERY innaccurate as it shows MGS4 WW sales vs MGS2 JAPAN only sales

Your graph is meaningless really. Allow me to demonstrate why.
Notice how each graph is set-up to compare it against 2 other Metal Gear Solid games, but only one comes back with data. I suspected that the staggered launch was to blame for the graph disparity, but it appears to be a large amount of missing data. The only region we have data for has MGS2 way ahead. I will tool around and see if we have hard data for 3 to compare it with, but 3 was the sales low point I seem to recall.
It met my expectations. You cannot simply average the three games and use that as a benchmark. Considering how MGS3 struggled to hit 4 million sold, I think MGS4 sold exactly as it should have. Considering the 14 million consoles available at the time of release. It can only sell so much, and that obviously cut into sales in Japan especially.
Yeah I looked at the sales data, apparently there are totals for NA and EU, but no week to week total. So I guess no week to week = no graph data?
