I glad to see that this game is getting a high score. I've always been a big fan of the series.

I don't this because I haven't been keeping track of this game.

The Wipeout franchise has always been good, but ever since the first 2-3 games, it has been averaging in the mid-low 80's. I think this time Sony Liverpool is going back to the mechanics and fundimentals of the more succesful previous Wipeout games in the past, just this time are really nice graphics in 1080p, 60FPS, custom soundtracks, really cool modes (stages that interact with your custom music) and ofcourse, it's only $20.

 

 

I've always loved Wipeout games, so this is a must get for me. these reviews just make it more so.

@bbsin: is this game true 1080p or upscaled from 720?

If it is true 1080p at 60fps thats just too awesome to ignore.

it looks awesome. Wipe out games are cool. I loved the original Wipe out game on PSX released in 1995.

9.2 out of 10 is a great score.

I wouldn't say that just yet. There are a couple of sites that will grade harshly so 90-92 might not help out out if it gets 80's from other sites.

 

ah.. i meant quality wise :p not grading. However, if it is graded as such.. well that's just even better !

1080p at 60 fps, no upscaling.

I am interested to play this game. I am used to 720p, so I want to see what 1080p looks like. After all, thats why I got a PS3 and 1080p television! :)

Awesome.... A score like that from IGN pretty much ensures that this game will be totally amazing.
