The statement about the reduced battery life was later corrected. It will have a battery life equivalent to the PSP 2000.

For Jeanne D'Arc, I'm afraid not. PSP games are region-free though, so you can import it. It is by far my most favorite PSP game. As for UMD, I don't think new movies are released on UMD anymore.

You'll have to import Jeanne D'Arc, only Sony Picture movies are available on UMD and GTA LCS was really good on the PS2, so I figure it would be the same on the PSP.

Deffinatly wait for the new model ;) One more month and you get an overall superior product :) And dont worry, there wont be a PSP2 anywhere near in the future, so buy it next month when it comes out :D

UMD movies are still released, a couple at least, and Sony stated that they want to release at least 4-5 movies/quarter on UMDs. These will be most likely huge hits or collections like the Aeon Flux collection :D

Oh, and if it worths it? Definatly. I know that I might not give you the most objective opinion about the PSP, but as far as I know, most people who got one got tons of fun out of it ;)

Although UMD films are pretty much dead apart from Sony films (and only really in the US, you'll have an even harder time in the UK), Sony has just started a new campaign to get more films on there. They're going to be doing most of the leg work, apparantly, whilst the companies reek the royalties.

Also if anyone would be kind enough to list some big titles coming in near future. I know i could find it, but then i dont really know what would be considered a must have on the PSP.

Final Fantasy : Dissidia, Kingdom Hearts BBS, Final Fantasy Agito 13, Parasite Eve 3, Ressistance Retribution, LocoRoco 2, Patapon 2, Gran Turismo Mobile ( well whenever its released) , DMC : Dance of Sparda ( same as GT Mobile). Im also interested to see what this years TGS will bring out :D

wait for psp 3000 and get disgaea. I will do the same ;)
