spike then back
It seems little wierd when the arcade is going to cost less then PSP and the Premium much cheaper then Wii. We will see if it is going to help.
Did the last price drop help the 360? nope! the 360 has always been chaper than the ps3 world wide, and it doesn't stop the ps3 out selling the 360......the key word here is "always has been cheaper" think about that.

Technically, the PS3 hasn't always outsold the 360. The 360 outsold the PS3, overall, in 2007.

| dejelek said: just one thing the desperation is on sony side they cannot afford price cut this year, where xbox360 still have a room for more price cut this year or 2009 especially when valhalla mainboard finished for slim redesigned xbox about ps3 vs xbox 360 price cut Xbox 360 launched 3 years ago at £280. The same model (well, actually it's better as it now has HDMI and 60gb HDD), is now £170. That's £110 price cut in 3 years. PS3 launched in 18 months ago for £425. It now costs £300. That's £125 in 18 months, ie, half the time. |
nice job
Note: Some games in my collection are no longer owned, but have owned.
your gonna be able to pick it up for the same as a ps2 now.. how on earth do they ever imagine to get any of their cash back ? lol.
Again this is usually microsofts plan.. they try to squeeze everyone else out and take te market completely so they can strangle everyone and overprice everything.
its already cheaper by the wii and they are cutting more?
desesperation, why they are cutting it more? to be nice? its m$ for christ sake.
I just thought of something, while sale should increase significantly, some consumers will think like me and wait for the next price cut.
What I mean is people will say nice 199 but then they will be like mmmm just 6 months ago it was 250 so maybe if I wait another 6 months it'll be 150. That's how I was and waited forever to buy a console that shall remain nameless.
Its a business strategy move to put pressure on their competition, if they are successful with this price drop then the pressure is on Sony as they are in no condition to afford another price drop, but if we don't go as the way MS planned there is still no big deal because they are not losing money on each unit sold. Most likely MS is selling it at cost price that they are willing to bid on it for a chance of winning their competition.
Well they said they will beat Sony and get second,I guees they'll do it with price drops,I mean it helped Sony last year, why wouldn't it help Microsoft this year.
