There has been much talk of the new Final Fantasy XIII world, which will span multiple games for the series. My question is, which do you think will be better. This is all very subjective seeing as the 2 anounced games have been kept mostly secret. Very little is known about either of them.

Here is what we do know...

Final Fantasy XIII is the first to be anounced and most likely first to release of the series. The game is set in a fantastical world much like Final Fantasy X. The world is a mix of technology and mysticism. This game reminds me of Final Fantasy VIII with the mechanical contraptions with various candy coatings. The semi main character is a female, Lightning. She is the 3rd main female character to enter in a Final Fantasy game(Terra from FFVI, Yuna from X/X-2, and now Lightning). She is not the typical efiminant girl we are used to seeing, Lightning is pure BADASS! She don't play no games, only looks out for herself, also very synical from what Nomura has told us. Combat is said to make you feel like you are controling a action scene straight out of Advent Children. If this is true then I am STOKED!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII is the second to be anounced for the Fabula Nova Crystalis series. The main character is said to be un like any other main character in previous games. The story of the game is taking a much darker twist, evident by the very drab/gothic scenery seen in the game. The game is said to be "A fantasy, based on Reality" as said in the video. They really want players to feel as if this could actually exist, haveing the character relate with the player.The combat is said to be remenicent of Kingdom Hearts, as the team who worked on those titles helm this one. The Prince(aka Storm, Sasuke look alike) will not be alone though. Unlike in the KH series, the side characters will indeed be playable. The game is lead by none other then Tetsuy Nomura, Final Fantasy Rock Star. He is driving for this to be the first game to take FULL advantage of the PS3's architecture. He wants the game to be a technological masterpiece as well as a visual/interactive one.

Now I want to hear which one people think will be better. It is all observation/geuss at this point but still.

My opinion. Different flavours and tastes. They both look good though. I have been waiting for some company to do a cinematic menu combat system. They both look the same in regards to cinemaic imagery.

I'll probably try both when my friend get's them. He's a huge FF nut.

I thought that would be a bit unfair, comparing HD games to a portable one. Plus the PSP one can get away with things that would be unacceptable on HD console. Plus there is REALLY no info whatsoever for Agito, not even a video yet. Maybe when a vid comes it can hang with it's older siblings lol

I think versus will be better, just a darker story. Opinion.

No doubt both will be AAA. The question is simply which one appeals more to you, or do you feel appeals more to the broader audience.

Versus has my vote too. Tetsuya is my idol lol. He wants the game to give off the same feeling you got while playing FFVII(my fave *blush*). It is going to blow my mind, I just know it.

Are you more of a FFX fan? Or a KH fan? These past titles should give you a hint as to what is to come from each team.

I've never played KH, but I enjoyed FFX immensely. I'd have to go with Versus though, because of the art style.

Not sure yet. The setting and style of Versus look better, but I do think that FF13 will be better. I like the story and concept better.
