If this rumour turns out to be true, it makes no sense for Nintendo to hold a conference to focus mainly on games that would be out already/soon.

 

Positive thinking=trailers for games that only a few would care about, release date for a game that would use motion+(could be Project Hammer), a DS remake of an old classic, trailer for a Wii game from one of their franchises(Star Fox, Zelda, Kirby or Pikmin.  Take your pick) and a megaton announcement about a Japanese 3rd party collaboration.

 

Negative thinking=no conference

Nintendo has fired every single developer and only 1 team will remain, being this time the team making Wii Music 2 and Wii Sports: Resort. Pikmin, Star Fox, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Zelda, Mario, Punch Out, Kid Icarus are all dead franchises.

 

How optimistic :) The same exact thing happened last year. They showed Wii Fit at E3, everybody cried and moaned, and they had their core game conference in October. The same exact thing will happen. This isn't a "wait and see" thing, core games will appear. I hope they announce another big third party game like MH3, btw :3

LAWL and STILL the core gamers and fanboys still praying... I think it'll never happen. Ninty already dominate the market that they dont need a conference to promote themselves more.

And yeah, there'll be no surprised announcements from Ninty either Wii Music is the only game we can get from Ninty. Lets just get over with this...

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

 

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

 

E3 2010- Tape runs out

If it's true, I'm hoping it's about some new games. But, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

well E3 is about the mass media attending. So Nintendo showed software to appeal to the masses.

This October information is specific. It's not a mass media appeal. Only those interested in gaming and Nintendo will bother to attend or look up. So reasonably put. It should be more core software. If any software is announced.



Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

After E3, I prefer to stay neutral and take it as another typical videogame conference. That way, if there's something new it will be a nice surprise, if not, I won't be dissapointed.

And I won't have to hear the fanboy cryings XP

So... in the last year's conference the megaton was Monster hunter 3 for the Wii. Erm... uhm... YEAH?

As for my post I knew there'll be a conference if there will be but dont expect Kingdom hearts 3, legend of Zelda, Kid Icarus, Final fantasy VII remake and Starfox or F-Zero going to announced soon either.

It'll be like other conference we've seen almost every month.
