The reaction is even better.

Even Pat Buchanan says there are no anti-Americans in congress that he knows of and Bernie Sanders (Soc.) is a patriot... then he compares the Weatherman (Anti-war) to the Ku Klux Klan... The right really doesn't get why this doesn't register why the American People are rejecting this. They are selling off their conservative values to win votes...

The illuminati must have instructed them to lose.

I still can't believe that Powell endorsed Obama. I hope some more Republicans do, it would be a good move for sever contested house seats but I think it would also be good for the country to have a land slide, with a good amount of bipartisan support.

He cited several reasons for why he did it, but namely McCain's choice of Palin, his unstable behavior during the financial crisis and the campaign's narrow focus on a washed-up terrorist. Powell is so full of win.

I think it will carry a lot of weight - especially in veteran filled states like Fla., N.C. and Va.

If you haven't watched Meet the Press yet, watch it. He's on for 30 minutes and it is awesome. Makes me wonder why he didn't run for pres.

I'm pretty sure he's said his wife didn't want him to.  Probably because she didn't want him targeted because of his race, like Obama has been.

I do remember reading that. I've always admired Powell - I looked up to him and wanted to be a military leader like him but Mom's good cooking won. I'm glad I didn't go in now - though my lil bro served and I am a huge supporter of the military.

OMG madskillz, your avatar is so hot!

Seriously, Powell's endorsement seems like at least a little atonement for his performance in front of the U.N. I've always liked the man and was proud to serve under him. I was very dissapointed with his tenure as Secretary of State. Whether his candidate wins or loses I've gained back quite a bit of respect for him. I especially liked his complete and utter disavowal of the "Arab = Terrorist" talking point that has so much traction these days.

+1. I really thought he was duped into doing the UN speech. After he dies, I bet a letter will be released detailing all of that.

Now Fox news is blaming Obama for the NYT asking friends of McCain's daughter about Cindy McCain... then they go onto to say that nobody looks into Obama's associates like this. Really? Really? WTF, I'm so glad work is almost over. And I can get away from the work TV.

I can't see steven787's video, so here's another:  [edit:  I see it now, but I'll leave my "short version" up unless a mod feels like deleting it.  I won't mind if they do. This video shows the climactic ending of the interview.]

I'm ashamed that this person could get elected to Congress in MY STATE.  Fortunately, she's probably about to get beaten.  The Democratic challenger got like half a million dollars in contributions in the 24 hours after this aired.

The REPUBLICAN who ran in the primary against her had this to say:  "Thank you for your support in helping me lead the charge in Minnesota’s 6th Congressional District against the destructive neocon ideology that has mired the United States in an unnecessary war in Iraq at a cost of thousands of American lives, hundreds of billions in taxpayer dollars, and untold damage to the international stature of the United States of America. And, as if incumbent Rep. Michele Bachmann’s enthusiastic support for these policies is not damaging enough, she now appears to be calling for a witch hunt to 'find out [which members of Congress] are pro-America or anti-America.' We cannot tolerate this festering brand of neo-McCarthyism in our midst."

More and more I expect a schism between Republicans who embrace this kind of politics and those who reject it.  The struggle between these two factions is what is tearing McCain apart.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia.  Thanks WordsofWisdom!

Wow. Half a million in 24 hours for a Congressional race? That's awesome.

This psycho seriously needs to work somewhere where she can't talk.

It's too bad that district picked her over a Republican with a brain.

I can't believe I'm alive to see the campaign that kills the Republican party. They're gonna cannibalize each other. This is amazing and bonkers.

Also, I just watched the whole Powell video, and that's gotta be the best endorsement ever. Powell knows his shit.
