He cited several reasons for why he did it, but namely McCain's choice of Palin, his unstable behavior during the financial crisis and the campaign's narrow focus on a washed-up terrorist. Powell is so full of win.

I think it will carry a lot of weight - especially in veteran filled states like Fla., N.C. and Va.

If you haven't watched Meet the Press yet, watch it. He's on for 30 minutes and it is awesome. Makes me wonder why he didn't run for pres.

 

 

I'm pretty sure he's said his wife didn't want him to.  Probably because she didn't want him targeted because of his race, like Obama has been.

I do remember reading that. I've always admired Powell - I looked up to him and wanted to be a military leader like him but Mom's good cooking won. I'm glad I didn't go in now - though my lil bro served and I am a huge supporter of the military.
