That sucks, I've never had a console go out on me before. Did anything happen to it before it made that sound? Did you check inside the disc slot? My friend's Wii made a similar noise and she found out that her niece stuck nails inside of it. She got them out and it works fine now but it's all scratched up. Needless to say, she was pissed...

It is most likely a faulty drive motor. Too bad the Wii doesn't have any LED rings or this would be one hell of an irony :O

3 times?? Wow. Duke that seriously sucks. I know smoking causes a lot of problem with the optical drive - do people smoke in your house? Gaming prices are so high in Brazil but then you have topless beaches to make up for that.
