I think Portal and Wii Sports will be the only games remembered this gen.

Quality has nothing to do with it. Popularity, and pop culture do.

While MGS 1, 3, 4, CoD4, EBA, Bioshock, and SMG should be remembered as fondly as say, Super Mario Brothers, they won't be. There is a barrier there that requires universal acclaim and worldwide infamy, along with pop-culture status, that those games will never have.

What game will be remembered, if you don't want to quantify it with "by gamers" is Portal, maybe, and Wii Sports.

Uncharted, and LBP will be huge

The way I'm deciding what games to list is based on what I'll say in 10 years when I'm asked the question, "What games stood above the rest?" 

This generation, I'd have to say Portal first. That game is revolutionary and there is absolutely nothing about it I'd change.

Second is Super Mario Galaxy. Platforming puzzles in that game literally made me say "wow." No other game had done that before. Also a masterpiece.

Third, Metal Gear Solid 4 simply for its epic-ness. I don't think it's as good a game as the other two, but the quality is in the elite tier.

Games that will never, ever, ever!! be forgotten: Wii Sports and Halo 3 (everyone and their mother knows what Halo is).

its funny how some people put PS3 games other than MGS4 up there, and then no Wii games. no one is going to remember Uncharted or Heavenly Sword, hell, most people forgot about Heavenly Sword already.
Sadly Halo will be up there.

Nintendogs, Pokemon, Brain Training, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Mario Kart and Wii Sports. In 70 years that's all people are going to remember, if they remember much at all.

Uncharted, HS, Resistance, Motorstorm are not gonna be remembered as the best!

When people will think PS3 in 10 years they will remember MGS4
