Forums - Nintendo - How Many Wii Only Owners Wii Now Buy A 360?

Money is not the issue, it is time. I could buy either a 360 or PS3, but I don't because I already have a backlog of games (1 i need to start, and 2 need to be finished).

After that, I'll be picking up games like Wario Land and de Blob. So I don't really need another console at all. I haven't even looked to see if there are any new DS games that I want either.

As much as I'd love to get one for the HD graphics, I can't justify spending $100's if I can go buy a game on a system I own and get the same entertainment.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I can understand not having both a 360 and PS3 since the two consoles offer such similar libraries but if you only own a wii and none of the HD consoles then your really missing out on a massive amount of phenomenal games.

As a gamer your utmost concern should be quality of gameplay and integration of story, simply introducing a new concept into gaming (motion controls) should be one small part of the equation. Without gameplay and story the rest is meaningless.

Hm? What are you talking about? There are many quality Wii games with story and gameplay and there are much more interesting games announced for the Wii than for the 360.

The XBOX 360 is too expensive for me.

I have to buy a HD TV and pay for Online, and my internet connection sucks.

The games I want for it aren't alot.

Too much money to spend, and i am not rich.

(This is the same for the PS3 too)

^^^ This is what you get for blowing a rumor out of proportion

Chocobo brain damage!!! Here, drink this diet Coke..*runs*

Currently playing :

VC - Ogre Battle March of the Black Queen
Wii - New Super Mario Bros. Wii
DS - Glory of Heracels

Yep, it's cheap enough now and I want to get an Arcade because I don't NEED a hard drive, I won't go online and I just need to save games... I don't exactly know when I'll be able to buy it though. n_n'

Going to pick it up with Tales of Vesperia. If I can get more games, I'll get Fable 2 and Lost Odyssey. I have a little game list already.

In other words, I would get the 360 for the RPGs on it. :3

Just wondering with pricecuts how many wii owners will get one.

You would have to admit its not a bad deal.

Also with it's game library you would imagine it would be tempting.

With it's current games library and cheap entry price will many wii owners be tempted.

Anyway I'm sure other members will have there own thoughts on it.

I know if I was a wii only owner I would be getting one.

Its not a bad deal in absolute terms, but it would be a bad deal for me.

I don't have enough time to play all the Wii games I want; getting access to a whole other library would just be over kill. Then when you factor in that the only games on the 360 I wish I had are ones I wouldn't play with my son around (meaning very little chance to play them) and that our entertainment unit is so crowded right now I don't know where I would put a 360, it just seems like for me that buying a 360 would be throwing money away.

So no, I am not tempted, at all.

I wonder if you miss the point that most people who own just one console own the console that best suits their gaming needs. And no matter how cheap competing consoles get, for most people its not worth it because they already have access to plenty of games that they like. (if I bought a 360, that would mean that a whole bunch of money that could have gone to buying games went to buying redudent HW)

nope i wont be buying a 360..

I would rather buy a ps3, only if i'm being forced

Before the PS3 and Wii came out with built in Wifi I didn't know so many people played games using a wireless connection. I always thought wired connections were superior but I guess most of the people on this forum think different.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

My son is interested in getting one but lacks $$.

For myself, I'd love to play Mass Effect and Fable but not too fond of dual analog controls nor do I have time for a 2nd system.  I can't keep up with the games I want for Wii as is.

Having said that, likely we'll get a 360 (or PS3) at some point.

People not buying a 360 or even another HD console is just shooting themselves in the foot! They'll be missing out on a lot of great games, that's for sure!

still lots of people have little or no interest in the hd experience.
