Forums - Nintendo - How Many Wii Only Owners Wii Now Buy A 360?

I probably would but my wii feels incomplete. since my bro left 4 college, i havent played it

so yea i would first like to upgrade my wii and add another pair of controllers and mario kart wii (if possible, can only pick up on weekends but i work so yea... impossible) but right now i dont even have time to play on the wii. every i no plays the 360 and i no a few people who play the wii but again ditched it for 360 (so they nvr play on their wiis)

Above I'm a proud Gran Turismo fan, not a Sony fanboy, and now a proud 360 owner, but sharing xbox live accts ATM

End of 2009 Predictions (made Jan 1, 2009): My predictions were pretty accurate, the 360 was over and the Wii was just under.

Wii: 65 mil (yea I'm crazy) 360: 35 mil (its getting there) PS3: 30 mil (the slim better do well)

End of 2010 Predictions (made Jan 7, 2010):

Wii: 81 mil  360: 47 mil PS3: 45 mil

My 360 only gets used to play DVDs these days (and Braid, which was awesome).

Everything on it either feels too clunky and terrible with dual analogue or can be played on the PC instead, or both.

Then there's the fact that I can play these games online with the PC for free. I bought my PC 3 years ago and everything I want to play still runs just fine.

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

go a 360 because of a cheap ass deal at the end of spring (similar to your futureshop deal).

in January I would never thought of buying a 360 and thought I would get a PS3 end gen for cheap.... now i have a 360 so I might never get a PS3.

I doubt i'm the only one that was planning on a PS3 later on that got moved by low 360 price.

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

Already did at the end of last year and now my 360 gets far more play than my Wii. The amount of game already available on the platform plus those coming out is staggerring and is causing my bank balance considerable stress.

I personally find that a HD console and the Wii complement each other nicely, with the Wii offering a unique and new experience while the HD console offers the epic, 'hardcore' gaming experience.

None that I know of. All my friends got the 360 when GTA 4 came out. But the cheaper something is the closer it is to an impulse buy so its logical to think that some people will go multi-console.

Just wondering with pricecuts how many wii owners will get one.

You would have to admit its not a bad deal.

Also with it's game library you would imagine it would be tempting.

With it's current games library and cheap entry price will many wii owners be tempted.

Hm, there are so many good Wii-Games from all genres for the rest of 2008, that there is no need for another console.

The Xbox-Arcade is cheap, but without hd. And to enjoy most games and to get patches you need a hd-disk. And the xbox games are far to expensive because MS has to finance the console with high licence-costs.

well i will be buying arcade version, but not now. i'll wait til there will be pricecut in europe and xbox 360 arcade will hit 150$ and most games i want to play will be released(ff13, SO4, LR and so on) - i'm interrested in jrpgs and few multiplatform games.

I won't. My PC is good enough and plays all these new HD games much better than a 360. Most 360 games end up on the PC as well. So, PC+Wii is the way to go for me this gen.

Edit: I would also have to buy an HDTV, which is out of the question at the moment.

if you know how to do math, you will buy a 360 and not ps3

Absolutely not! I only want one game! So I will have to wait until I can buy ir for $50 new! So 2011 at the earliest.
