Forums - Nintendo - How Many Wii Only Owners Wii Now Buy A 360?

Yeah, I only had a Wii up until a few weeks ago. I picked up an Elite, and got all the FPS games I'd missed out on. Halo 3, COD4, and Bioshock. It also came with Ultimate Alliance and Forza 2. I still play both systems though surprisingly evenly. It does suck that my list of games to buy doubled with this purchase.

I'd probably get a PS3 before a 360.

I did'nt mention ps3 as I was thinking price.

In saying that I understand lots of people would just go ps3 anyway regardless.

Which is fair enough it is a good console.

Not me... price was never a problem for me.

The problem is that i have the superior versions of most 360 games on my computer, so I don't have a lot of reasons to buy a 360.

Not me. Last night my wife and I went shopping for a new TV and a PS3. The Xbox might be cheaper but imo the PS3 still offers more value.

If you're not a gamer that is. I'm not saying the PS3 doesn't offer any games, but to me, it's like the PSP vs. DS argument. You want more media sharing stuff and all (or blu-ray in this case), or you want to play actual games?

Ehh I think that comparison's way more hyperbole than apt, but the library difference between PS3 and 360 is nowhere near as big as it was even a year ago.

Just wondering with pricecuts how many wii owners will get one.

You would have to admit its not a bad deal.

Also with it's game library you would imagine it would be tempting.

With it's current games library and cheap entry price will many wii owners be tempted.

Anyway I'm sure other members will have there own thoughts on it.

I know if I was a wii only owner I would be getting one.

I like the Xbox Live games better than the 360 games in DVD so $300 is still way to much for me to pay.  I bought my Wii with someone else because I thought the Wii was also too expensive to buy.  Maybe when the 360 comes down to $200 with a hard drive I'll consider it.  As it is, I'm just not made of money.  Heck, I don't even have a job.

Funny thing is my pc is only a couple of years old and will not run any decent games.

It was'nt bought as a gaming rig.

To upgrade it for good games would cost me at least 200 I reckon.

That would still leave the 360 cheaper.

Mind you maybe i'm wrong about that but I would imagine it would cost that at least.

well, some games like banjo Kazooie look quite interesting.. but I'm lacking cash

I would rather buy my second Ps3 before buying a 360
