Good point. If she likes Horror games, Siren is a hardcore Horror game and can't be missed. When the next gen Siren comes out even will be even better.

The 360 as of yet hasn't got a horror game to call their own. If Horror is what she likes, she already has the wii for fatal frame, to fully satisfy her hunger for horror, the PS3 with Siren will be purrrfect :D

@ people who think StarCraft is spamming.

If you guys are so concerned about him spamming and the thread being fake, then you should not waste your time reading or posting on it. After all, your judgement is nothing more but an assumption and I am sure if StarCraft wanted to, he would have been heavily in favor of all 360 related posts on this thread, which he hasn't. In fact, he has complimented ps3 games and even pointed out that his bird likes certain ps3 games as well as certain 360 games making it an even thread.

Fine, i'll bite.

She knows about Fable, because with the impending release of Fable 2, I've become a reclusive nerd who talks about almost nothing but the series.

She owns a Wii so knows a little about games, and has played Bioshock at mine.  She has only seen videos of Fable 2.  She really likes Assassin's Creed, which she played elsewhere as I dont own it.

I do have a great deal of knowledge, but the bias I have (you know, the one you just pointed out?) led me to try and get a group of opinions together, so that my friend could choose the best console for her.

Well, besides games (since I'm late to the party) there can be other factors that will help her decisions as well. Have her over one day and let her demo stuff on the 360. Not only can this help with game selection, but it will give her a feel for the controller. You can talk to her about the upcoming content for XBOX Live and PSHome. And stuff.

P.S The best thing would be for her to work around the budget and do what Ross did in friends when he was confused which girl to be with.

He listed the pro's and con's of each one.

She should make a Pro's and Con list for both. Something like this:

PS3    Pro's Cons 

1) Cheaper overall as an entertainment centre 1) Expensive as a one time purchase

2) Free PSN and  2) Not as good as XBL

3) Free Home 3) She may not have a use for it

4) Better variety of Exclusives 4) Smaller Library of games

5) Cheaper HDD and option to have any SATA HDD 5) Large installs

6) Integrated BR player 6) May not require it

7) No last gen disc swapping 7) BR movies still expensive

8) Sixaxis motion control 8) No full use of it yet

9) Creative funky games like Flower, LBP & Africa 9) Questionable if it is everyone's cup of tea

I'm sure she can make a more thorough list. At the end of it, it all boils down to what's on offer in the next 6 months and what is available now as well as price and her budget.

Sony has some really cool new IP's with a difference being released; LBP, Flower, Afrika, Eyepet and several good casual games such as; Singstar, Buzz and Eyepet as well as long awaited sequels.

The 360 has a some good games being released soon such as; Fable 2, left 4 Dead and GeoW and already has a great library of games such as; GeoW 1, Ninja Gaiden 2, Crackdown and Deod or Alive.
