Nobody can hate the DS!
But I do have to agree that the N64 is the king of consoles.

I hate the DS.

 I hate the DS too,

and in what way is the N64 the king of consoles? PS1 raped the tits out of it

I don't like the Wii. I'll get that out of the way quickly, because that isn't what we're focusing on here.

The DS? If it breaks would I buy another one? No. The DS, as a concept, is fine. The graphics are fairly crappy, but it's a handheld, I neither expect great graphics, or care about them. On a handheld I would much rather play a 2d game. Anywya, the point is that the DS just doesn't offer enough engaging games. It was designed for minigames, but they don't satisfy you for long and the market isn't exactly flooded with new, cheap exciting games.

Square (and Capcom, I suppose) are keeping the DS going alone. There may be an odd game around, but none that I would miss if I didn't play them again. I haven't played my DS in months, and don't plan to any time soon. Upcoming games? Chrono Trigger...that's it. That's all that I can name anyway. Unless you're the sort of person I hate, the sort who buy every Pokémon game and then tries to argue that it has an engaging story and isn't based on gring, the DS isn't worth buying. Not for me anyway. I could have played Final Fantasy III many other ways, in the 2d way that I prefer. Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow definately isn't as good as others in the series which I still haven't finished. Advanced Wars? Well, I like it, but it just isn't Fire Emblem.

The DS is a gimmick. The touch screen is rarely used well (the exception being Advanced Wars), and there is a huge lack of games.

Erm, so the point is that no one can dislike or hate the Wii or the DS without being fanboys, idiots or teenagers who are acting cool?!
Maybe some people (like me) don't like the Wii becuase they just don't think it is a good console? I've owned every Nintendo home console and loved them to bits but the Wii killed it for me tbh, and I don't consider myself any of the above groupings.
We're different, all of us, I know heaps of people who hate one console or another simply because they don't like it and I know even more people who simply hate consoles and most of these people are adult, normal folks trhough and through.

PS: I do like the DS though, a fun machine, but I probably won't get one since I'm not really into handhelds (controls, small screen, not enough good games etc).

Guess you didn't read the thread. it's not that he hates, it's that he bugs me about liking them when he cannot even produce decent reason as to why he hates them.....

That, I will concur, is annoying. Slap him upside the head next time and tell him the late pope said hi!

LMAO XD

You gave reasons. Good work ^_^

wow just like on polish gaming websites and forums, but without stupid pathetic reasons - those "reasons" here are "fairly" objective if you could compare to polish ps360 fanboys hate(90% of pole gamers are hd whores and even most of 'journalists' on polish gaming services are graphical whores who dis every wii/ds game).

Pretty much a fail topic about unreassonable hate, console or people or fanboys.

I really don't understand how this hate can be generated by gaming consoles for god sake. But i have a clue about it. The different opinions on gaming, tastes and the mainstream attention in a community of gamers that want to be on top of the gaming world. How so many people can be so selfish as to hate something that they have not known or tried and dying to support their choice as the dominant one.

All companies are out to seek profit, you on the other hand you seek entertainment the best company that provide you with your need takes the cake and the market share.

Games is all that matter and the most enjoyable this gen are on nintendo's systems(this is what the numbers sales are saying for the majority of buyers not me). If you are not happy with your choice of console is more simple to change it rather than bashing others and make up arguements to justify your ego.

Oh faith in humanity drops again haha. You know you are a complete loser when you start thinking a video game console is the worst thing to this universe let along the industry haha. No wonder people give us gamers a bad rep.

I don't hate any game system but I'm not the biggest fan of Nintendo handhelds since Gameboy Advance (darn it's incredbly dark screen, i could barely play the thing, never quite forgave Nintendo for that one) However i always love their consoles.

I think word "hate" should be avoided, we are talking about video games and consoles and i really don't see why people would use such a serious word. I might dislike or not enjoy something like that, but hate it?

Thats right....hate is a serious word and i think some people must reconsider their hobbies lead them to so serious emotional states as to hate people and consoles or a group of gamers with different tastes on games than theirs.
